While I am a lover of chocolates at heart, flower cake might be a fun (and oh-so-romantic! ) way to spruce up your valentines! Abundance of roses, sweetpeas, ranuculus and hydrangea are selected to compose this flower dome.
If you read my blog, you might be able to guess by now that I am a lover of autumn. Probably has to do with the fact that I grew up in New England and autumn to me, was the best time of the year! The season brings absolute perfection to florals, color, weather and not to mention all the delicious eats!
This warm, golden-toned bouquet is comprised of several breeds of autumn roses, dahlias, and native flowers. Hypericum foliage adds just the right amount of autumnal spice to bouquet.
This is a baby shower I put together early this year. We went with a watercolor and navy stripe theme, which I think worked out really well! I love the bold stripe contrast and the soft watercolor palettes.
Ahhh. I think I’m completely in denial that spring florals will soon be out of season.
I have such a sweet spot for ranuuculus, pansies, sweet peas… so expect to see lots of them on this blog for the next month or so! Sure, there is no doubt of their prettiness but perhaps,
the fact that they are seasonal make them even more desirable.
March 3rd is a day to pray for young girl’s growth and happiness and is also called “Momo no sekku (Peach Festival).” So I thought it was most appropriate to incorporate peach branches into this super spring-like bouquet ^-^
