This purple, red and fuchsia bouquet is accented by the blue in the hydrangea.
I’m really into mixing light blue into deep colors. I like how the colors contrast. Even a small amount can bring out the warm tones and really make them pop.
If you can’t tell, I LOVE colors. This arrangement, mix of hydrangea, peony, roses and lilac (and blueberries!) , together with the pairing of these colors is everything I swoon over. How about you? Does it make you swoon?
I am kicking off this week with a fun, summer color palette! Before we hit the sweltering summer season, its the perfect time for a lovely al fresco afternoon. I mean, what could be more fun and relaxing than a party with your closest friends out in the open air.
So next time you are up for an outdoor treat, why not pop up your party with a little color mixer – Blue x Green x Fuschia
I definitely wanted Blue as it gives a sense of season because it’s THE color of hydrangeas, then I added green to give some freshness and fuschia as an uplifter.
I hope the way these colors are working together is making you pop!
This past weekend, I had the honor of designing a boy’s baby shower. We went with a light blue (which happens to be my favorite color!) x light green x yellow and a spice of purple to chic up the palette a bit. With the theme being “Paris” as to pay homage to the daddy-to-be, a French native, I splashed French-inspired goodies here and there- macarons, Eiffel tower cake topper and quiche to name a few. Meal was lovingly and not to mention, deliciously prepared by one of the guests, Mrs.H! WOW! Here are some images to recap the shower!
